The Edge IQ Story
Edge IQ was founded by a former elite player and professional skills development coach with one mission: to redefine how hockey players develop their skating.
After years of competing and coaching athletes at every level, one thing became clear—the biggest obstacle to player development wasn't effort. Players were working hard, but inefficient skating mechanics and flawed movement patterns were limiting their potential.
Edge IQ was built to close that gap.
Our development model is centered on purposeful, technical training that produces measurable results. Every drill and every repetition is designed to isolate a specific skating movement, correct inefficient mechanics, create body awareness, and reinforce elite habits through deliberate repetition. Players don't just perform the movement—they understand it, feel it, and own it.
There are no wasted reps, no generic skating circuits, and no one-size-fits-all approach. Every session is built with intention, focusing on the technical details that create faster, more efficient, and more explosive hockey players.
At Edge IQ, we believe that mastering movement is the foundation of elite performance. Our proven methodology equips athletes with the skating mechanics, confidence, and hockey-specific movement skills needed to gain a true competitive edge.
Train with purpose. Master your movement. Gain your Edge IQ.
The Edge IQ Story
PRO Goalie Training is built and designed by current Playing Professional Goaltender Ross Jones.
Ross Jones | Professional Goaltender & Elite Goalie Coach
Ross Jones is a current professional goaltender who dedicates his off-season to developing the next generation of elite goaltenders. Drawing from the demands of the professional game, he provides athletes with firsthand knowledge, modern techniques, and high-performance training designed to prepare them for success at every level.
Ross's coaching philosophy is built around one of the most important aspects of elite goaltending—efficient crease movement. His off-season development sessions focus on mastering advanced skating techniques, explosive edge work, and exceptional blade stability, allowing goaltenders to move with speed, precision, and control while maintaining proper positioning throughout every sequence.
Believing that elite goaltending starts from the ice up, Ross emphasizes strong skating fundamentals that translate directly into game performance. Through purposeful repetition and technical refinement, goalies learn to maximize power, improve balance, recover efficiently, and arrive square to every shot with confidence and stability.
Every session is designed to challenge athletes in a professional training environment where attention to detail, consistency, and work ethic are expected. Whether preparing for junior, collegiate, or professional hockey, Ross equips goaltenders with the technical foundation, movement efficiency, and competitive mindset needed to elevate their game and perform at the highest level.
